CLUB BIO
Founded in 1984, Sporting Southern Indiana is one of the oldest soccer clubs in the Tri-State area.
Sporting Southern Indiana became a Sporting KC Academy Affiliate in 2015 and provides opportunities for boys & girls, U9-U19.
The club focuses on technical training, while also emphasizing sportsmanship and the development of our players and coaches as individuals. These philosophies are our guiding principles for Sporting Southern Indiana.

COACH SPOTLIGHT
Matt Doty
Coach, U15, U16 & U18 Boys
Matt Doty has helped his teams climb from lower Indiana Soccer League (ISL) divisions to the Premier level of ISL. Coach Doty’s U18 Boys team also made it to the State Final this past season in the President’s Cup.
Coach Doty is a great coach who finds the balance between player development and having fun at the same time!
Coach Doty has been a great addition to the Sporting Southern Indiana team and aims to develop each player to their fullest potential.
Dria Oxley
Coach, U18/U19 Girls
This past season, Dria Oxley helped lead her team to a State Championship in the President’s Cup.
In addition to coaching our U18/U19 Girls team, Coach Oxley is also a mother and a Graduate Assistant for the University of Southern Indiana Women’s soccer team.
Coach Oxley is in the process of earning her Nursing degree and license. She is a fantastic young coach and a great mentor for her players.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Stuart Land
U13 Boys
Stuart has been with Sporting Southern Indiana for four years. For the past three years, he’s played up an age group.
He was the MVP of his U13 team this past season and plays on the U12 Indiana ODP team.
Stuart is dedicated to developing his skills in the goal, but is also focused on his technical ability and his overall knowledge of his position and the game.
Tyler Pyle
U16 Girls
Tyler has been with Sporting Southern Indiana for the past four years and also plays up an age group.
She was the MVP for her U16 team and has started every match for her team.
Tyler does a great job at developing her technical ability and knowledge of the game.
