CLUB BIO
Located in Lincoln and Omaha, Sporting Nebraska provides opportunities for all levels of play, from 4 to 19 years old. These opportunities include training, development, competitive and league play.
Sporting Nebraska aims to develop complete soccer players with core values that will provide them with the best opportunity to succeed at their next level – whether that’s high school, college, professional soccer or life outside of competitive sports.
CLUB RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Re-branded from Sporting Omaha to Sporting Nebraska
- Merged with Capital Soccer Association in Lincoln, Nebraska
- Only club in the state with recreational and competitive opportunities for all ages
COACH SPOTLIGHT
Tyler Boller
Coach, U9 & U14
Tyler has shown great ambition in his coaching career. He has been involved in a wide range of endeavors – from volunteering at the local YMCA and working camps with Sporting KC to running Micro and Youth Academy sessions with our club.
Tyler demonstrates maturity and leadership beyond his years and is eager to learn from every coach he meets. He has recently completed all of his Grassroots licensing requirements and is looking forward to participating in the D-License course.
Kirsten Smith
Head Coach, 2010 Girls Navy
Assistant Coach, 2005 Girls ECNL
Kirsten is a former Sporting Nebraska player and went on to play at Augustana University. She then returned to coach at Sporting Nebraska.
Kirsten goes above and beyond for her players, sharing her experience playing at the college level. She also contributes her professional expertise on the club’s marketing committee.
