Introduce your child to soccer with Sporting Kansas City!
Sporting Stars, presented by Nissan, will help your 5-8 year old become students of soccer and help continue their development.
Your player will learn mechanics, technical skills, dribbling and passing. Sporting Stars also focuses on the importance of teamwork and working with others to accomplish a common goal.
Each class is 60 minutes in length and is limited to 10 players per coach.

Ages 5-6
Your soccer player will learn the basic mechanics of dribbling and passing.
Classes include small-sided scrimmages and technical activities that will help them grow and challenge their skills.
Ages 6-7
Your soccer player will build off the basic mechanics of dribbling and passing.
Classes include small-sided scrimmages and activities that naturally progress each week to encourage their development.
Your player will also learn what a training and team environment looks like.
Ages 7-8
Your soccer player will use the basic mechanics of dribbling and passing to address more complex situations, such as learning new skills and applying what they know to game situations.
These classes will objectively progress and teach your soccer player how training and games relate.
Registration is now open for our Sporting Stripes & Stars Summer Camp, July 5-7 at Homefield – Olathe! This camp is open to players 2-8 years old, and is designed to expand on the favorite drills and activities taught during our Sporting Stars sessions.
Whether your child loves Sporting Stars and wants some extra sessions, or has never participated and is looking to try, there’s a spot for them at our camp!
Cleats are optional, but not required. Tennis shoes are acceptable.
Sporting KC provides all necessary equipment, including soccer balls. We just ask that you wear comfortable clothes and bring water.
Uniforms are optional. If you choose to purchase a uniform, they can be picked up on the first day of your session.
Each child will be placed in the class they are registered for. Sporting KC cannot guarantee that a child will be placed in the same class as a friend or family member.
Please register your child for the class that is appropriate for their age.
If your child’s birthday takes place during a session, you may sign them up for the older class offering
For example, if your child will turn 6 during the dates of a session, you can register them for the Sporting Blue Stars (6-7 years old) class.
Sporting Stripes & Stars classes are held once a week, during the day of the week and time you registered for. There are no practices or formal games involved.

Due to the limited capacity and high demand of our programs, all refund requests must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the start of the program. Any refund request made less than seven (7) days before the program start date will incur a $15 administrative processing fee*.
