eSPORTING YOUTH AFFILIATE CUP

OVERVIEW

Sporting KC Youth Soccer is hosting a multi-stage FIFA 20 Tournament for its Academy Affiliates to participate in called the eSporting Youth Affiliate Cup. Each participating Academy Affiliate club will host a single-elimination FIFA 20 tournament for both Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Entry to the tournament is free and there will be two age divisions, 12 and under and 13 and older. Only Academy Affiliate players are permitted to participate in this tournament. The winner of each console of each Affiliate tournament will be invited to an additional tournament known as the eSporting Youth Affiliate Champions Cup. The winners of the Champions Cup will have the opportunity to play against Sporting KC’s eMLS player Alekzandur among other prizes and experiences.

April 13 – 25 (Youth Affiliate Cup)
April 29 – May 3 (Youth Affiliate Champions Cup)

Prizes: 
Winners of the Affiliate Cup will receive a Sporting KC prize packs.
Winners of the Champions Cup will receive a Sporting KC prize pack and the chance to play against SKC’s eMLS player, Alekzandur.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
GENERAL TOURNAMENT FORMAT
  • Each Academy Affiliate will run their own tournament
  • Each Affiliate will need at least one (1) tournament administrator
    • Duties, requirements and role of tournament administrator outlined on page 2
  • There must be one (1) PlayStation 4 tournament for both age groups
  • There must be one (1) Xbox One tournament for both age groups
  • Max number of participants per age group per console is 32
  • The tournament is a single elimination format
  • All participants must abide by game play rules listed at bottom of page
CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT FORMAT
  • The Youth Affiliate Champions Cup will begin with a Group Play format consisting of 12 players for each age division of each platform.
    • The groups will consist of 4 groups of 3 three players each in a Round Robin format
    • The top player out of each group will advance into the Championship bracket
    • The second-place players out of each group will advance into a consolation bracket
    • Tie breakers include:
      • Overall points (3 pts for a win, 1 pt for a tie, 0 pts for a loss)
      • Head to head results
      • Total goals scored
      • Fewest goals allowed
      • Coin flip by Tournament Admin.
  • The Champions & Consolation brackets will be in a single elimination bracket format
